New french kaper in Normandy
Sorry for my very bad English. (thanks google translator)
My name is Yves, I live in Normandy in the West of France.
I started the kap in 1995. I don't fly a lot but I never stopped this activity. I have been on the French forum since 2007.
I like to make my own rigs, reels and kites.
For the past few months, I have been reading your discussions on this forum. It is very interesting to compare the different methods of practicing kap around the world.
In June, I will have the pleasure of meeting some of you in Fano.

Yves,
Looking forward to meeting you and other KAPers in FAN0 2022. First time to FAN0 for me. We may have met previously in Dieppe or Berck sur Mer.
Fly kites and take pictures!

I've been to Dieppe and Berck several times but I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet. It will be the case in Fano where I will also be going for the first time.
I did not understand exactly how to post a photo on the forum. On the French forum, I simply paste the BBcode of the FlickR image and the photo appears directly. If I do the same thing on the US forum, I only import a bad link of this image. In the previous message, I had tried to import a file directly but the colors are not the same as the image on FlickR.

Can you help me please.
Write your post. Place the cursor where you want the image to appear in your text. Click on the icon at the very end of the list that appears below the words "Leave a Comment" and then navigate to the photo on your PC that you want to insert. I am new here too and that process works for me.
The icon is the little mountain inside a square. When you hover over this icon the words "Attach image" appear.
Thank you or your answers Aeronaute. It's your solution that I use to post my photo on my previous message but the colors are not the same as on FlickR. I am attaching a screenshot with the image on the forum on left and the same picture on FlickR on right.

I'm seeing the same difference in colour - which is likely due to the colour profile that you're saving the image with - and Flickr is handling it better than an inline image in this forum.
mpot: I agree with you, it's a problem of color profile but if I could have a good FlickR link, this color difference would not appear.
I haven't a pro account on FlickR, perhaps, it's the problem.
I clicked on the share arrow in the bottom right of the Flickr picture window and chose the embed option.
Not all the code is needed - I pasted in (without the < and > on the end so the picture doesn't appear twice): a data-flickr-embed="true" href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/20201418@N08/52039047325/in/photostream/" title="27_220422_001_ville_printemps"><img src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52039047325_fe6f9aa1cf_c.jpg" width="800" height="600" alt="27_220422_001_ville_printemps"
Not sure why a Pro sub would make any difference but my copy/link does look more vibrant on my screen.
Kevin: When I copy the link as you suggest, I get this text:
[url=https://flic.kr/p/2nhvHKT][img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52039047325_fe6f9aa1cf_c.jpg[/img][/url][url=https://flic.kr/p/2nhvHKT]27_220422_001_ville_printemps[/url] by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/20201418@N08/]hygrekaile[/url], sur Flickr
The issue is due to the way the image is being saved - and is causing the browser to mis-represent the colours.
What application are you using to edit the image, and how are you saving the image?
mpot: I use Lightroom Classic 11.3
Hi Yves.
This is how I copied your picture from Flickr....
Yes, it good !!!!!!!
Thank you so much for your help Kevin.
hygrekaile: the image on flickr has an embedded colour profile "ProPhoto RGB", and the image you originally posted inline in this thread does not have an embedded colour profile. That's why the web browser is making a mess of the colours when it is displayed.
You mentioned that you use Lightroom Classic 11.3. I don't use Lightroom, so I'm not sure what's involved in getting it to save an image with an embedded colour profile, but I'm sure someone else can clarify.
I had a hard battle for attach my pictures in the "KAP Banner" thread.
Thank you very much for the way to fix it.
Another post in my favorites ;o)))
